Blueberry basil coconut smoothie
/This recipe has been inspired by a smoothie recipe from Thr1ve! It is so fresh and the basil simply makes this smoothie POP!!
This smoothie is packed full of nutrients thanks to blueberries which are:
High in antioxidants which protect our bodies from damage by free radicals
Help to improve brain function and memory
Low in calories, but high in nutrients including fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K
May lower blood pressure
Protect LDL cholesterol from oxidative damage
Ingredients
3 tablespoons coconut cream (Eg. ¼ tin of Ayam Coconut Cream)
~350ml water
1 cup blueberries
½ mango
4 leaves fresh basil or 1/2-1 drop of Young Living Basil Essential Oil
Handful of ice
Optional ingredients
protein powder
½ cup soaked cashews
½ leaf of fresh Aloe Vera flesh
Directions
Add all ingredients into a blender. Start by adding 1/2 drop of the basil essential oil and add more if desired, the herb oils are SO strong and concentrated so a little goes a very very long way!
