Blueberry basil coconut smoothie

This recipe has been inspired by a smoothie recipe from Thr1ve! It is so fresh and the basil simply makes this smoothie POP!!
This smoothie is packed full of nutrients thanks to blueberries which are:
- High in antioxidants which protect our bodies from damage by free radicals
- Help to improve brain function and memory
- Low in calories, but high in nutrients including fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K
- May lower blood pressure
- Protect LDL cholesterol from oxidative damage
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons coconut cream (Eg. ¼ tin of Ayam Coconut Cream)
- ~350ml water
- 1 cup blueberries
- ½ mango
- 4 leaves fresh basil or 1/2-1 drop of Young Living Basil Essential Oil
- Handful of ice
Optional ingredients
- protein powder
- ½ cup soaked cashews
- ½ leaf of fresh Aloe Vera flesh
Directions
- Add all ingredients into a blender. Start by adding 1/2 drop of the basil essential oil and add more if desired, the herb oils are SO strong and concentrated so a little goes a very very long way!
